Since the homeless shelter proposed for Foster Powell (@61st & Foster Rd) brought attention and inspired verse, I thought I’d note that the neighborhood association’s meeting is Monday, Jan. 8th. The agenda is here.

The Portland Memory Garden (website) hosts work parties on the first and third Saturdays of the month:
“If you’d like to get your hands dirty in the Memory Garden we have two teams that meet on the first and third Saturday of every month from 9:30-11:30 a.m.”
“All are invited to join one of these teams. Bring your favorite tools, gloves, and water, and dress for the weather.”
